Beautiful desserts, freshly made on the premises at the supermarket........
Picture
and so is the sushi.
Picture
Wind and kite surfing in Pollensa Bay.
Picture
Even Mallorca has hills!
Picture
This is one of our favourite restaurants, in the old town of Pollensa.
Picture
The interior of the restaurant. You can get a three course meal with wine andwater for 10 euros. While we were there two guys left, taking the bottle of water with them but leaving the bottle of wine - can't see that happening in the UK!
Picture
An interesting looking house at Cala san Vicente
Picture
Cala san Vicente bay
Picture
A donkey powered water wheel. I don't think it's in use any more but, funnily enough, there were two donkeys in the field.
Picture
This is the way to get people using bicycles - cycle lanes physically separate from the roads. UK councils please take note!
Picture
The busy end of Pollensa Bay, stacked full of boats.
Picture
It's a big rock!
Picture
The entrance to the old town of Alcudia - the capital of Mallorca once stood here.
Picture
Alcudia Bay......

The penninsula to the left of Alcudia bay and......
Picture
Pollensa Bay to the left of the penninsular.
Picture
A typical Mallorcan street - very narrow so that you are nearly always walking in shade.
Picture
The same street looking the other way, towards the church. This is in Pollensa.
Picture
This photo shows the end of the street in the previous two pictures. The town square where the market is held surrounded by loads of nice bars and restaurants.
Picture
They love their traffic island art in Mallorca. This is a representation of the fire fighting sea plane which regularly practices picking up and bombing water in Pollensa bay.
Picture
You're going to need a bigger boat! More traffic island art
Picture
Some Mallorcans are quite big!
Picture
This photo didn't work out how I intended. It's a Microcar parked next to a Seat Ibiza which is itself a small car but unfortunately they look almost the same size. The Microcar is tiny but you see loads of them in both France and Spain. I don't know what the deal is in France but here in Spain, because they have a controlled top speed of about 35mph and have no clutch or gears, you don't need a driving licence to drive one. So if you get your licence taken off you for whatever reason, you can still drive a Microcar - simple!
Picture
Not all churches are big fancy affairs. This simple 13th century one is just outside Alcudia town.
Picture
and the inside is equally simple.
Picture
A couple of views from another of our favourite restaurants. This one at Pollensa golf course does a very nice 3 course meal for 10 euros. The drinks are extra but it's worth it for the view. You can also go for a swim inbetween courses if you wish.
Picture
Karen plus view. Notice there's only bottled water on the table!
Picture
Alcudia market. Every colour, size and type of olive you could possibly want.
Picture
Fruit and veg of every discription.
Picture
Every type of nut, herb, and spice you could think of - and probably a few that you couldn't!
Picture
This is part of the old Roman town of Polentia (not to be confused with Pollensa which is about ten miles away) which stands in Alcudia and used to be the capital of Mallorca.
